Your eyes are the focal part of your face, and the windows to the soul. Your eyes tell a story, and it should be one of happiness and joy. If there are drooping lids, puffiness and wrinkles, it may not be the story you wish to impart to the world. When most people think of any type of surgery, especially to the face, they imagine “going under the knife”. Today there is a simple procedure in which a laser is used to remove the fat and excess skin. It is called Laser Blepharoplasty and is a technique that will restore the former youth and beauty to your eyes that you’ve been missing.

It is a simple outpatient surgery that can change your life. No scalpel is ever used; rather a needle- sized puncture is applied to the lower lid. The laser heats the fat, tightens up any loose skin, and seals veins that often give the impression of fatigue and age. Your eyes will appear larger and your face will appear healthier, fresher, and infinitely more vital. Oftentimes it is the only time you will need Laser Blepharoplasty done.

There may be some slight stiffness after it is done, but most often recovery time is minimal. It is usually between two and three weeks, which is much faster than with conventional eye surgery. It has one hundred percent results and no zero side affects. It is clearly the most technically advanced and popular eye surgery performed today.

Many times when people age and the lids begin to droop, eye make-up does not look the same as it used to, and is not as easily applied. This is because the lid is smaller than it used to be in your younger days, and sometimes people can be cruel. Perhaps people sometimes ask you if you have not been sleeping well. Aging is a slow, cruel thing, but this can be taken care of within thirty minutes to one hour.

Most people elect to have it done after the age of thirty-five. This is when the lids begin to sag and droop, making the eyelashes fall down low and obscure vision. This can impair you while driving, reading and working. People that have had scarring near the eyes benefit greatly from this non-evasive procedure.

Let’s face it. Everyone deserves to look and feel their best. Having your old confidence back is worth everything, especially when Laser Blepharoplasty makes it so easy

The eyes are an extremely important part of the face. Eyes give the face distinction and can reflect the emotions that you are feeling at any given moment. However, as age sets in, even the most beautiful eyes can begin to show signs of aging. For example, there could be drooping, puffiness, wrinkles or folds around the eyes. In order to correct the signs of aging, you can seek laser eyelid surgery (laser blepharoplasty). Normally surgery is done with a scalpel. However, laser eyelid surgery involves the use of a laser energy beam which creates an incision. The following are special benefits associated with having laser eyelid surgery done.

Benefits of Laser Eyelid Surgery

Laser blepharoplasty can be helpful in that it is outpatient surgery that can restore your eyes by reducing drooping skin around the eyes, reducing small wrinkles, reducing bags around the eyes and reducing puffiness around the eyes. Of course, an additional benefit of laser eyelid surgery is that if your vision is being negatively impacted due to drooping in the eyelids, eyelid surgery can actually improve your vision.

Another benefit of getting laser eyelid surgery is the fact that there is no use of a knife or scalpel. Rather, the use of a laser beam in laser eyelid surgery makes it possible for the cosmetic surgeon to be more accurate in the surgery because the laser cauterizes blood vessels while the cosmetic surgeon cuts. This results in minimization of patient bleeding during the laser eyelid surgery and also reduces the potential difficulties with swelling, bruises or discoloration that could occur after the surgery. Also, although there is some stiffness and soreness after surgery, recovery time is shorter for laser eyelid surgery than it is for conventional eyelid surgery.

Another benefit of getting laser eyelid surgery is the fact that you may not have to get another laser eyelid surgery ever again. It is true that some individuals may have to get another laser eyelid surgical procedure done at some point. However, laser eyelid surgery is known to produce permanent results for some individuals.

Getting eyelid surgery can enable you to improve your appearance. Excess fat and skin are removed through laser eyelid surgery and this often results in not only dramatically improved appearance but also results in increased self confidence as well. Thus laser eyelid surgery is a very worthwhile option to pursue.

Plastic Surgery is one of the most dynamic and exciting specialties in the medical field, with rapid advances in the young science being made every year as surgeons refine and perfect their skills.

For surgeons looking to make procedures less uncomfortable, less risky, and less traumatic to the body, reducing the time it takes for the patient to heal after a procedure, laser surgeries are often the best choice. Lasers cauterize the blood vessels as they cut, reducing blood loss, and giving surgeons a cleaner view of their work.

One type of such surgery is laser blepharoplasty, or laser eyelid surgery. It is an outpatient surgery that typically takes between one to three hours, during which excess fat, muscle, and skin around the eyes are removed for aesthetic or even functional reasons using a carbon dioxide laser. Patients receive a combination of local anesthesia and sedatives. The goal is to remove tissue causing sagging or bagging around the eye, as well as to tighten loose skin, which can reduce the appearance of crow’s feet.

Laser Eyelid Surgery (Laser blepharoplasty) can be preformed two ways. Either a surgeon uses a laser to make a small incision, which is then later closed up with sutures, or the surgeon can preform an even less invasive procedure in which a tiny needle-sized hole is made under the eye. A laser is inserted into the hole, and then the laser melts away the excess tissue around the eye and tightens loose skin. Without an incision, suturing is not necessary, reducing the time it will take the patient to recuperate after the surgery.

The lack of an incision can also reduce surgical risks and complications such as infection and excess blood loss, . The minimally invasive procedure also reduces normal post-surgical problems such as excess pain, bruising, swelling, discoloration, and scarring, allowing the patient to return to their normal routine almost immediately.

Although this technique does reduce many of the risks of surgery, every surgery does carry risks, and patients should be fully informed about the procedure, as well as about their surgeon’s training, education, and experience, before deciding to undergo the procedure.
